Chris Carter Plays Hero In Walk-Off

It was a tied game at four all in the bottom of the 10th, and 2-2 count when Diamondbacks reliever J.J. Putz tossed Chris Carter a cutter, and seconds later the game was untied and over. “It’s the greatest feeling in baseball” Chris Carter said about his walk-off.

The Astros were able hold on to the early lead they gave starter Scott Feldman all the way in till the 9th inning, when closer Chad Qualls gave up the lead and tied the game at four when he gave up a solo homer to Miguel Montero.

The Astros also got a scare in the 7th inning when all star contender 2nd basemen Jose Altuve was hit by a pitch in the hand and left the game. X-Rays turned out to be negative and Altuve is considered day to day.
