Albert Pujols hits 500th career home run

While not Dodger related it is still an important story as Albert Pujols hit his 500th home run of his career. The future Hall-of-Famer went deep against the Washington Nationals and he became the third-youngest ball player to reach the milestone. He is the first player ever to hit both 499 and 500 in the same game. Even though he is 34-years old he is currently leading the league in homers with eight. The former St. Louis Cardinal signed a 10-year $240 million deal with the Angels two years ago. It’s safe to say he hasn’t lived up to the contract and last year he was injured most of the time and only had 17 home runs.
